Bella Moda Salon & Spa in Washington, District of Columbia

This is my new salon home! I went in for a manicure because it was close to my home, and I came out with a brand new hair cut and color, a fabulous manicure, and my new favorite stylist! Every moment from scheduling my appointment on the phone to taking selfies with my stylist was a pleasure. Highly recommend the salon and ESPECIALLY the staff. They even took before and after pictures for me!

I just had what I can safely call the best haircut of my life at Bella Moda. My appointment started on time, I had a quick consult with Ziya, a master stylist, and then sat in the most comfortable shampoo chair in the universe. While my head was being shampooed and conditioned, my back was massaged by the chair. This doesn't seem like a big thing but MAN, It really set the tone for my entire visit. I was relaxed and beyond comfortable. Haircut: Ziya was awesome. I could tell he heard my concerns during the consult (I've had some rough cuts in the pass and I'm trying to grow it out) and could see through my dry, broken ends to the hair that was hiding underneath. The appointment didn't feel rushed and because of the chair massage, I was on the verge of dozing off for much of it. Ziya checked in ever so often but otherwise let me enjoy the music and the gentle tugs on my scalp. He worked on my hair as if it was a work of art and at the end, I didn't want to move one strand. The cut compliments my previous balayage color (from a different place) and framed my face perfectly. I am in love. Eyebrows: I decided during my haircut that I might as well treat myself and get my long overdue brows done as well. Terri, an esthetician, was on hand to shape and clean up what had been abused and neglected in the past. She evened me up, was virtually pain free (it's a good pain though right?) and treated my hyper sensitive skin after so I wasn't walking around day drinking at Hanks on the Wharf (another recommendation for another time) with red raccoon eyes. I have been on the struggle bus to find a home for my hair that is both convenient to my location, receptive and understanding of my concerns, and is a relaxing atmosphere. This place met all of those and exceeded my hopes and expectations. I will be back and next time, it will be for a color treatment. I'll keep ya posted!
