Front desk staff mislead me on the price of the rental. I told them exactly when I would pick up and when I would drop off (even showed up early) and they quoted 102 for a compact car. After i dropped the car off I saw that they had doubled it to 206. This was technically correct according to the printed contract, but not at all according to my interaction with the front desk. Also, 206 for 29 hours of a compact car is an obscene price to pay - I would have just ubered everywhere. They also never asked me if I wanted insurance on the vehicle but just included it on the contract. Furthermore, the phone support that I called to try and get the bill fixed was rude, unsympathetic and unhelpful. I will NEVER use Avis again.

I rented through Groupon and declined all insurance. When I got to the location I clearly stated that I did not want any additional insurance. The guy (Richard, I think that's his name)at the counter said no problem, just sign here, here and here. When I checked my bill during the return I noticed that he still charged me for the 7.99 RSN insurance x8 days $56.92. While attempting to correct this issue at the counter, the Asian couple behind me said that he did the same thing to them. After contacting customer service they said they would credit me 25% of the $56.92. Obviously Avis is in the practice of stealing money from customers. I would give them 0 stars if I could. The staff is young guys who are not professional. Do not use Avis unless you want your money stolen. I'm also reporting them to BBB. Stay clear of this company.
